Go beyond dinner and experience Hawaii’s fishing culture from dock to plate. Join Thirty Eight Restaurant for a afternoon celebrating Hawaii’s world-renowned ahi tuna at historic Pier 38.

Your experience begins just steps from Honolulu Harbor, where guests will get an up-close look at the commercial fishing vessels that help supply Hawaii’s seafood industry. Learn about the boats, the fishermen, and the journey of ahi from the open ocean to Hawaii’s fish auction and dining tables.

The evening continues with a whole tuna presentation and live breakdown.

Guests will learn how Hawaii’s commercial fishing fleet operates, how ahi is responsibly harvested, and how professional fishmongers and chefs transform a whole fish into the prized cuts found in the world’s best sushi restaurants. As the fish is broken down before your eyes, our chefs will guide you through a multi-course ahi tasting featuring a progression of cuts and preparations that showcase the versatility of Hawaii’s most iconic seafood.
